ABSTRACT
The topic of this research is the effect of information technology on the productivity of secretaries in a business organization. A case study of selected business organization in Owerri, municipal significant literature were reviewed, the questionnaire here instrument used in collecting the data and lose question were used the population comprised of the above mentioned organization. The method of data analysis used was mean scores. Based on the data collected, it was found that inadequate skills, lack of information technology facilities, and inadequate training being given to trainee secretaries are the affirmed possible problems encountered by secretaries while in the office. Finally, recommendations were made, for adequate provision of these facilities, skills and training to secretaries to enable them function effectively.
